Hottel Installs New HVAC Cooling Tower in Rockville, Md.
Harvey Hottel, Inc. based in Gaithersburg, Md. one of the Washington DC area's largest HVAC companies just finished the installation of a new cooling tower at 1801 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 22852 - at the intersection of Rockville Pike and Twinbrook Parkway
The specifications of the project were:
- Large office buildings, hospitals, and schools typically use one or more cooling towers as part of their air conditioning systems.
- An HVAC cooling tower is a sub category rejecting heat from a chiller. A cooling tower can generally be classified as by HVAC (air conditioning) or industrial duty.
- The cooling tower needed to be brought up to the six story roof with a monster crane
- The preparation for the new cooling tower took two weeks to prepare for the new tower.
- Once preparation was complete, Harvey Hottel shut the power down on a Friday at 5PM and worked all weekend to install the new cooling tower. Power was back up by Sunday at 5AM. Employees returning to work on Monday morning, returned to a nicely air conditioned building.
